OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The mission of WHO's NCDs/ NUT (The Programme) is to support the country in improving access to NCD care, and monitoring NCDs and Nutrition among population groups with focus on the most vulnerable, in a gender sensitive approach, in line with WHO GPW13 and SDG 3+ targets
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
1. Provide technical input in the development, implementation and follow up of NCDs activities including mental health and NUT health projects at country office. 2. Identify priority health -related issues among the targeted population and ensure that these are properly addressed in an integrated primary healthcare approach. 3. Work closely with the Ministry of health and other partners to ensure proper and timely implementation of the program activities. 4. Technically review reports, proposals and other documents relevant to the program and suggest recommendations on best practice. 5. Undertake regular field visits to attend field health coordination meetings. 6. Contribute effectively to the implementation of the NCDs/ MH and NUT activities planned for Crisis Response. 7. Collet and compile data including analysis related to the above-mentioned areas, to generate evidence-based information to support decision making and reorientation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential
: First University degree in public health.
Desirable
: Master's degree in Public Health.
Experience

Essential
: At least 1 year ofexperience in health sector or public health related areas
Desirable
: Work experience with UN system or international non-governmentalorganizations
Skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively. • Demonstrated ability to work in challenging and multidisciplinary settings. • Good knowledge of the right to health in the context of the country and health systems approaches to improving health rights. • Sound knowledge of public health. • Excellent presentation skills.

REMUNERATION
Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at LBP 86,508,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
